Back at 'er

Spiderman 3: I was entertained for two and a half hours. The trailers for the new Pirates and Fantastic Four movies preceding Spidey were both solid. Laurence Fishburne as the voice of the Silver Surfer? If you're any kind of a sci-fi geek how can that not get you pumped?

I think the makers of Spiderman 3 were too concerned there wasn't going to be a Spdey Four so they jammed everything into this one.

-Peter Parker's inner turmoil

-The revenge of the New Goblin

-The rivalry with Eddie Brock (Venom)

-The battle with the Sandman

-The Love triangle with Gwen Stacey

That's alot of angles to jam into one movie. So what's left for Spiderman 4?

Anyone complaining about Peter Parker's cheesy emo scenes shouldn't have been surprised. The director was SAM F'N RAIMI!!! He played by the rules for Spiderman 1 and 2, by the time the third rolled around you knew Sam would have a scene or two to show his true style. This is the director who gave us the Evil Dead movies.

Sam Raimi without cheese is like Quenten Tarantino without violence and cool dialogue.

More later. I'm back on the program!
